My Trip to Shanghai

So I went to Shanghai for an interview in which I did not get the position but the trip was not a waste. Shanghai is such a modern city. I did not do much sightseeing. that's for the vacation to Shanghai. Have fun!

Help Me! I'm on a hard sleeper train with Chinese men so will not stop smoking!

Yes, that's right the top bunk is that close to the ceiling.

It is quite cramped up there.

No standing room only laying room.

My fellow bunk mates. There are no doors on the sleeping compartments. That's why I asked for the top.

The peeps down below.

The pic says enough.

The hotel I said at was quite cheap and Chinese. It was in an awesome location and very clean. Only one complaint: I could smell the cigarette smoke from the room next door. It wasn't strong but you know me; I HATE SMOKING!

Yes this is the bathroom. Very small. Two average and above people could not romantically shower together and you wouldn't want to.

It has telephone booth doors.

This is my shower head.

You know me. I can sniff out America anywhere. It was a sight for sore eyes. We don't have it in Beijing.

One of the creative ways Shanghai Metro tell you the subway station.

This was my stop and the hotel was two blocks away.

Tonights ChiFan

So Lily made hotpot for dinner and anything she makes is really good. I've never had it homemade and it was just as easy as eating it in the restaurant and a fraction of the price.

Look Ma! Chopsticks!

It's usually just us 3 for dinner

We put all the ingredients in the pot and cook!

Lily takes out her shrimp.

Dipping sauces

Shrimp and fishballs

My homeboy Edward!

Recently....

Melissa and I went to this restaurant called All Day. As you can see here dessert was overwhelming and delicious!

So I went to BK cause it just opened, and it is not as popular as the Golden Arches up in China. So i had to give it my stamp of approval. I give it five finger licks! Most of the fast food places here in China have a hand washing area so you don't have to go in the restroom. Why is great.

I feel that it is my BK. Its so damn far though. So going there is a special treat. And they had chocolate, vanilla, and twist ice cream cones, and brownies. The Arches only have vanilla cones, taro and pineapple pies (that are fried).

This day I wanted to go to the National Museum and I think it was closed cause the one entrance i saw was closed. So I went to Tian'An Men square instead (its right across the street)

I took a picture with these monks 'cause they never met a foreigner (laowi) and i never met a monk. It was an even exchange.
